Georgie grew up in southwest Scotland and remains inspired by the classical architecture, graceful proportions and light-filled interiors of her childhood. She was previously Senior Designer at Kelling Design before launching her own studio. Georgie lives in West Sussex with her husband and three young children.

Founded in 2018, GW Designs is celebrated for creating vibrant, comfortable interiors that feel effortlessly lived-in - whether in a London townhouse or a country retreat.
Georgie’s approach layers colour, texture and pattern with a thoughtful blend of old and new, resulting in timeless spaces that reflect each client’s personality. Inspired by traditional English country style and guided by sustainable principles, she champions restoring and reimagining existing pieces wherever possible.
The studio works with a number of trusted suppliers and craftsmen, creating bespoke furniture and sourcing one-off pieces. Projects can range from initial consultation to full completion, encompassing anything from a single room to an entire house.
The colourist collection
Alongside her interior projects, Georgie launched her own furniture range, The Colourist Collection, in 2021 after struggling to find the perfect bedside table for a project. Inspired by her own antique pieces, the collection reinterprets classic forms with a contemporary twist, finished in a vibrant range of bespoke colours.
The furniture is handmade locally in West Sussex, UK, using sustainably sourced wood, reflecting Georgie’s commitment to craftsmanship, quality and responsible design. Shop the pieces here
